Additional properties

Organism remarks Shrubs, c. 3 m high. Leaves leathery, glossy, upper side dark green, lower side medium to palish green. Young leaves light green, some with rudimentary additional leaflets at petiole, or rarely 2 leaflets present. Fruits now ripe (see also Wieringa 5471), fleshy exocarp and mesocarp dry up and split open into 6 valves that stay attached to apex of fruit. Woody exocarp is exposed and becomes ready to explode. Ground full with scattered fruit valves and seeds. Seeds glossy, brown. Pedicels swollen, c. 4½ mm thick.
