Occurrence remarks | Epiphytic herb, growing on fallen tree over river, c. 10 cm high. Leaves succulent, above glossy and green, beneath dull and brown to rosty brown. Tepals 4, the two larger ones white with purple-red margins and base, the two smaller ones white with a purple-red base. Female flowers with 3 style, these connected at their very base. The connected part white, the remaining lower half yellow and the top half red, getting dark red to the very top. Ovary spindle shaped, 9 x 2½ mm (in flower), pale brown. Male flower: stamens pale yellow. |
