Occurrence remarks | Herb, 3.2 m high. Stem with 18-36 leaves, including the small scale like first ones. Leaves leathery, upper side dull, dark green, lower side dull, palish green and soft-hairy by pale brown hairs. Fruits on short peduncles arising from the base, ovate, up to 55 x 40 mm (without beak), with 12 longitudinal ribs, unripe dark green, ripe red. Beak c. 2 cm. Seeds black, surrounded by white pulp with a sweet-sour taste. |
