Organism remarks Tree 22cm dbh, 18m tall, bark grey with large spines up to 2cm outside, yellowish-brown inside, upper branches with smaller greyish spines, petiole, rachis of leaves with blakc spines, base of petiole dark green, rachis green, leaf including petiole up to 120cm long up to 50 leaflets, leaflets shining green above, mid green below, leaves grouped at tip of branches. Rachis of inflorescence with black spines, inflorescence seemingly terminal but new tuft of leaves already present, inflorescence consisting of multiple axillary branches subtended by often reduced leaves, partial inflorescence axis up to 60cm long and 30cm in diameter, inflorescences stricking creamy-white, fragrant, young fruits developped in 2 days, young fruits subtended by purplish-red, white-tipped bracts, young fruits purplish-red, flower, calyx dirty white, petals white, filament white, anthers pale yellow, pistil white.
