Occurrence remarks | Tree, c. 35 m high. DBH = 99 cm. Twigs and branches break very easily. Large parts of the bark at the base of the trunk were being slashed away at different times, but the tree replaces the lost bark rather easy. Leaves leathery, above glossy, medium green with a very pale green (whitish) primary nerve and light green secondary nerves, beneath dull, very pale green, with an even paler primary nerve. Fruits ovate to elliptic, 6 x 5½ cm, pale greyish green with brown spots. Mesocarp juicy, pale green, endocarp woody, outer part whitish, inner part brown. Seeds orange. |
