Organism remarks Tree, about 20 m tall. DBH. ± 18 cm. Bole round with very low small buttresses at the very base (buttresses up to 50 cm. high and only 15 cm wide at the ground level). Bark rather smooth pale grey-brown, with many lenticels. Living bark thin, up to 2 mm, brown-red. Wood hard, the haertwood brown-red. Leaves thick, leathery, dark green above, some-what paler beneath. Sepals (5), pale green outside, greenish-white inside, spreading at anthesis. Petals 5, white, very early caduceous, 15 x 6 mm. Very contracted at the base. Filamantal tube white, free parts of filaments very pale green.
