Occurrence remarks Herb, up to 50 cm high, terrestrial, on rocks or epiphyte, at a height of c. 1 m on trees. Stem moss-green, somewhat glossy. Petiole pale green-yellow to pale purple-green. Leaves juicy-leathery, above somewhat glossy to glossy, bright green to dark green, most lines with a purple margin, beneath dull, pale green to pale purple-brown, always with a purple margin. Stipules pale pink-green to purple. Peduncle pale green to pale red-green. Bracts deep to pale purple. Male flowers: tepals 2, upper tepal inside yellow, at the base red, from the base some red lines, outside pale red-brown to orange, base darker, more red. Lower tepal inside yellow, outside yellow to pale yellow, some filaments sometimes reddish. Female flowers: tepals 2, see male flowers, bur larger. Ovary with 4 wings, with wings broadly inverse triangular, pale orange-green to purple. Styles 4, fused at the base, top deeply splitted.
