Additional properties

Organism remarks Tree, c. 30 m high, dbh 90 cm. Trunk without buttresses, fairly cylindrical, but now in decay and hollow. Bark smooth, a bit flaky (large flakes), dark grey. Leaves leathery, upper side somewhat glossy, darkish green, lower side dull, medium green. Fruits ramiflorous (found on floor), obovoid, 88 x 74 mm, apex truncate with 5 lobes, yellowish green. Calyx in fruit (4-)5-lobed, medium green. Seeds brown, pulp whitish, taste resembling that of D. kaki, but a bit more bitter.
