Organism remarks Solitary palm, trunk up to 9m, leaves, base with strap-like fibres up to 4m long entwining the trunk, petiole up to 4m, rachis up to 10m, leaflets regularly spaced, fully developed leaflets positioned in different angles, leaflets decreasing in size and gradually positioned in 1 plane in upper 2m, leaflets up to 2mx6 cm, shining green above with greyish-brown tomentum below, rachis at base u-shaped, in central part diamond shaped. Flowering/fruiting at 8-9m with 4 axillary infructescences, infructescences pendulous rachis up to 2m long and 12cm diameter at base, partial infructescences up to 50 cm long, immature fruits up to 8x4cm, scales green, turning bright orange-brown, margin dark brown.
