Petiole absent, cirrus up to 160cm, leaflets up to 35 pairs, up to 50cm long, shiny dark green above. Rachis spines below chocolate brown, leaf sheath dark green, spines chocolate brown, ochrea similar. Inflorescence up to 130 cm, bracts greyish brown, bracteoles similar. Fruits orange turning red, seed light brown. Rachillae up to 50cm long.
