Organism remarks Tree, about 25 m tall, DBH: ± 55 cm. (just above the buttresses), buttresses up to 80cm long at the base. Bark grey-brown, routh scaling in longitudinaly plates. Leaves leathery, glossy, dark green above, dull and pale-green beneath. Petals yellow. Fruits suasage shaped stipitate (stipite up to 7 mm long), about 60 x 20 mm, green, opening along one side and exposing the red mesocarp. Seeds black at the base surrounded by a brillant yellow aril.
