Occurrence remarks | Lianescent shrub, c. 2 m high, densely branched and foliaged. Leaves thick coriaceous, dull, green above, paler green beneath. Fruits usually globose, 2.5 x 3.5 cm in diameter, orange, containing a single seed, the inner layer of the thick fleshy mesocarp with a sticky slimy exudate. Some fruits much bigger, probably with more seeds, somewhat 3-lobed, up to 4.5-6 cm. |
