Organism remarks | Shrub, 3m high. Roots with blackish bark, when peeled internal root parts yellowish white, becoming brownish yellow. Leaves papery, upper side slightly glossy, darkish green, lower side dull to slightly glossy, medium green. Fruits obovoid, c. 18x20mm, 1-loculate, orangish yellow, seeds brown with a brownish yellow translucent pulp around each seed. Both root and seed pulp taste a little spicy. |
