Organism remarks | Tree, c. 10 m high. DBH c. 40 cm. Leaflets leathery, upper side somewhat glossy, dark green with a pale green primary nerve, lower side dull, pale green with a very pale green primary nerve. Bracteoles on outer side purple-red, on inner side white. Sepals and 4 small petals pale red with a dark red apical half, on inner side white. Large petal white. Filaments pinkish white. Ovary with dark brown, silvery hairs. Style red, but base whitish. Pods green with brown hairs. Tree loaded with ants, which house and keep ants in between the stipules. |
