Occurrence remarks | Tree, 80.1 cm diameter, c. 30 m high. Buttresses 1.5 m high, 2 m from the stem. Bark light brown, smooth. Flowers: pedicel light brownish green, c. 11 mm long, 2 bracteoles light brownish green outside, light green inside, 9-10 x 5-6 mm, 4 sepals, 2 outer of 5 x 3 mm, 2 inner of 6 x 2 mm, 1 large petal white, two-lobed, 11-16 mm wide, 12-14 mm high (stalk 6 mm, lobes 9 mm), 3 filaments 29 mm long, anthers light yellow, ovary cream-coloured, hairy, flowers have small or large ovaries, pistil 16 mm long. This species is absent from the P transect plots. This specimen is the only one known along the P transect. 4 km to the South, the species is very common. Fruits from another tree of this species: van der Burgt 729. |
