Additional properties

Organism remarks Woody epiphyte on tall forest tree, originally probably at least 15 m above ground level. Stem up to 1 m long, distinctly woody and hollow in the lower parts, solid at the extreme base, 7 mm in diameter, sometimes profusely rooting at the nodes. Leaves very thick fleshy, venation indistinct above, midrib and primary nerves slightly protruding on the lower surface, often reddish. Peduncle of the male inflorescence 3 cm long, primary axes up to 1 cm long. Peduncles of the female inflorescence 3-15 mm long. Female inflorescence 2-3 flowered. Styles 4, yellow. Stigmatic part red.
